This book was an enjoyable read, especially if you are interested in sports related injuries. He recounted his journey from football at the high school level to that at the college level. Even if football or sports in general are not something you would generally read about this book delves into the life of a paralyzed man and how he copes as well as his feelings regarding the injury. I would also like to mention that Eric LeGrand visited my school to talk about his story and he was such a positive person that I felt truly inspired upon reading this book.
I like how this book is so inspiring and well written. I think I chose five stars because not only this book but Eric Legrand deserves along with his hard working mother and sister. I would recommend this book to my friends and my father. Not that my father nor my friends will read it. And I'm not much of a reader either but if I can find more books like this I will be a heck of a reader.
Big Eric LeGrand has a very special place in my heart as I was at the 10/16/10 Army v Rutgers game at NMSThis book is the story of how his faith and beliefs have made him a motivation and inspiration to thousands after suffering such a severe football injury. My 13 y/o nephew loved the book an while he won't admit it - it made him cry
My son is 12 and I got this for him for Christmas. He totally loved it and lent it to my older son who read it and loved it too. Whether your child is into sports or not, this book is full of life lessons and inspiration

This story is one of triumph in spite of adversity, courage in the face of tragedy, and inspiration.My students are enjoying the story, especially the boys who are often reluctant readers. It is also very readable and catches the interest of the reader from the outset.
